My dear Mrs. Ray,
I hope Don is all right and that you are free from anxiety on his account. I was anxious to go
to town today and see you and thank you in person for my lovely mats and for the beautiful slippers
you made my dear mother.
I don't see how in the world you accomplish so much with all the sickness and other demands on
your time. You are a wonderful woman and as I have often told you, I am proud of your friendship.
You must have more than one pair of hands and eyes. We thank you most lovingly for the gifts, and
your loving thoughts of us. I hope soon to see you.
Addie R. Shubel leaves today for a few weeks with friends.
Mother spent Christmas in bed with headache. I did not go to church.
With love to you and yours and may all the blessings of time and eternity be granted you and yours and give you a very Happy New Year.
I am affectionately your friend, Addie D. Green.
